Asked To Study Law Again, Attorney Rizieq Shihab Discusses Munarman's Expertise Compared To The Prosecutor
JAKARTA - Rizieq Shihab's team of lawyers said that they already fully understand the criminal justice system in Indonesia or the Integrated Criminal Justice System (ICJS). Because of this, Rizieq Shihab's team of lawyers admits that they do not need to learn any more about the legal system.
This statement was in response to the public prosecutor who asked the defendant Rizieq Shihab and his team of lawyers to learn more about ICJS.
"Our attorney Pak Munarman is very expert in human rights law, the ICJS", said a member of Rizieq Shihab's lawyer team, Aziz Yanuar, to reporters, Tuesday, March 30.
Aziz returned to mention that it is the prosecutor who should have learned about ICJS. Because according to him, the prosecutor did not know the details of the meaning of the system.
"So it is wrong if we tell us to study, we should actually tell them to study", he continued.
The public prosecutor (JPU) asked Rizieq Shihab and his team of lawyers to learn more about the criminal justice system in Indonesia.
The request was conveyed by the prosecutor at the hearing to read the response to the objection note (exception) for the alleged violation of the health protocol in Megamendung, West Java.
In the follow-up trial, the prosecutor touched on the same basic law enforcement as the defendant to take action against anyone without exception. Even the basis for law enforcement is called the prosecutor also referring to the Al-Quran and hadiths.
Therefore, the narrative of Rizieq Shihab's exception, which said the case was aimed at tyrannizing, was considered by the prosecutor to be only an accusation. The prosecutor asked Rizieq Shihab and the team of lawyers to study again. They were asked to read about ICJS.
"To have comprehensive knowledge about how the limits and authorities of the ICJS are regulated and implemented in theory and practice, we advise the defendant and his legal advisor to study and reread all existing literature, both books, and statutory regulations. an invitation that examines all matters relating to the completeness of the duties and authorities of the state apparatus", said the prosecutor.
