3 Important Messages From Jokowi At The Last Cabinet Session Ahead Of Lengser
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) together with the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet held a Plenary Cabinet Session at the Garuda Palace, the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, Friday, September 13.
This is the last cabinet meeting to be held before his term ends on October 20.
Quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube broadcast, in an introduction to the opening of a cabinet meeting, Jokowi conveyed 3 important messages, including asking all to fully support President-elect Prabowo Subianto.
First, Jokowi asked not to make extreme policies, especially related to the lives of many people which have the potential to harm the wider community and cause turmoil.
Jokowi emphasized that Indonesia needs stability to continue to grow and continue development. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that there should be no ripples of turmoil until the next government is formed.
Second, maintaining people's purchasing power, inflation, growth, security and order.
Third, fully support all programs of President-elect Prabowo Subianto. Ensure that the government's transition is effective, even if a new policy formulation is needed, immediately so that the next government after being inaugurated can immediately work and run fast.
"Lastly, I apologize to ladies and gentlemen if in 10 years there are things that are deemed unfavorable in interaction, there are things that are not optimal. Once again, I apologize profusely," he concluded.
The Jokowi government will end on October 20, 2024. In the past one month, Jokowi requested that the ministers immediately complete the main work program that has begun, both related to administrative absorption and accountability as well as unresolved obstacles.
