Denied Zalim, Prosecutors Ask Rizieq Shihab And Lawyers To Learn More Law
JAKARTA - The public prosecutor (JPU) asked Rizieq Shihab and his team of lawyers to learn more about the criminal justice system in Indonesia or the Integrated Criminal Justice System (ICJS).
The request was conveyed by the prosecutor at the hearing to read the response to the objection note (exception) for the alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) in Megamendung, West Java.
In the follow-up trial, the prosecutor touched on the same basic law enforcement as the defendant to take action against anyone without exception. Even the basis for law enforcement is called the prosecutor also referring to the Al Quran and Hadith.
"We never thought at all that we even wanted to commit discriminatory or wrongdoing actions in the process of enforcing the law against the accused. On the contrary, based on the Word of Allah and these hadiths are strong reasons for us to be indiscriminate in the process of enforcing the law against anyone, including the defendant himself, "said the prosecutor at the trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, March 30.
In making the charges, the prosecutor confirmed that everything was based on valid evidence. Because of this, the prosecutor dismissed the accusation that the contents of the indictment were only to slander Rizieq Shihab.
"Even if it is based on strong evidence, it is true that the defendant has committed a criminal act within the juridical jurisdiction of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," said the prosecutor.
The prosecutor referred to the criminal act indictment referring to the provisions of the applicable criminal procedure law which is also guided by the criminal justice system by continuing to apply the limits of authority that have been determined by law.
Therefore, the narrative of Rizieq Shihab's exception, which said the case was aimed at tyrannizing, was considered by the prosecutor to be only an accusation. The prosecutor asked Rizieq Shihab and the team of lawyers to study again. They were asked to read about ICJS.
"In order to have comprehensive knowledge about how the limits and authority of the ICJS are regulated and implemented in theory and practice, we advise the defendant and his legal advisor to study and reread all existing literature, both books and statutory regulations. an invitation that examines all matters relating to the completeness of the duties and authorities of the state apparatus, "said the prosecutor.
