Gerindra Has Not Been Able To Confirm The Schedule For Prabowo's Meeting With Megawati
JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, has not been able to confirm the plan for a meeting between Prabowo Subianto and Megawati Soekarnoputri. According to him, currently Prabowo is still focused on compiling the names of ministers who will help in his cabinet.
"So we are also confused. More outsiders know how the meeting was, when was the date. Meanwhile, Pak Prabowo is currently still concentrating on working on nomenclature and then profiling people for people who will sit in the cabinet," said Sufmi Dasco Ahmad at the Senayan parliament complex., Central Jakarta, Thursday 12 September.
Dasco revealed that currently Prabowo has not yet determined a meeting with anyone, including Megawati Soekarnoputri. Therefore, he has not been able to convey the exact schedule for the meeting of the two country figures.
"We have not confirmed the meeting schedule with anyone. Of course, there will be a separate schedule or then it will be decided whether or not in the near future," said Dasco.
Circulating information among media crews, a meeting between Prabowo and Megawati will be held before Prabowo Subianto's inauguration as president on October 20, 2024.
"Yes, that's why I'm also confused. We (Gerindra) don't know the date yet, it's like someone said 44 ministers, we're also confused," he said.

Previously, PDIP DPP Chair Puan Maharani said there would be a meeting between the elected president for the 2024-2029 period Prabowo Subianto and Megawati Soekarnoputri. Puan said the meeting would discuss the coalition, not the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet seat.
"Silaturahmi is important, there will be a meeting, God willing, yes. That there will be talks there, we'll just have to wait. We have already done too much (discussing cabinet seats) and communication. I also often meet Prabowo at Pak Prabowo's events. So always communicate, always stay in touch," said Puan Maharani at the Senayan parliament complex, Central Jakarta on Tuesday last week.
