State Losses In The X-Ray Corruption Case Of The Agricultural Quarantine Agency Are Estimated To Reach IDR 82 Billion

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the initial calculation of state losses suspected of corruption in the procurement of x-ray machines at the Agricultural Quarantine Agency had been carried out. The value is said to have reached tens of billions.

"The latest information on the initial calculation carried out by the auditor is around Rp. 82 billion potential for state losses," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 10.

Even so, Tessa has not detailed further about the mode of corruption that occurred. Likewise, the procurement is thought to have led to a bancakan because investigators have not provided information.

"What can be shared is only the value of the potential loss," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the procurement of static x-rays, mobile x-rays, and x-ray trailers or containers at the Ministry of Agriculture's Agricultural Quarantine Agency (Kementan). A total of six people have been prevented from leaving the country, namely WH, IP, MB, SUD, CS and RF.

Based on the source, one of the prevented was the former Secretary of the Quarantine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture Wisnu Haryana. This prevention was requested by the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights based on Decree Number 1064 of 2024 and valid for six months.
