Road Users Who Are Not Interested Are Urged To Avoid Areas Around GBK
JAKARTA - The area around the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) experienced congestion after the Group C continued match for the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers for the Asian zone match between Indonesia vs Australia on Tuesday, September 10, evening.
The congestion situation occurred around Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan Gerbang Pemuda, Jalan Asia Afrika to Jalan Sudirman. The impact of traffic jams also occurred in the border areas of Central Jakarta and South Jakarta.
"There is no diversion of traffic tonight," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Ruslan when confirmed by VOI.
Iptu Ruslan explained that the Central Jakarta Metro Police deployed a total of 2,335 joint personnel to secure football matches at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK).
"We only appeal to road users who have no interest in avoiding areas around GBK and looking for alternative routes so that they are not trapped in traffic congestion," he said.
