Regional Police-Attorney Investigates Alleged Robbery Of IDR 10 Billion In Bank NTB Syariah Cash
MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police and the NTB High Court investigated the alleged theft of cash funds worth IDR 10 billion at Bank NTB Syariah.
Director of Criminal and Criminal Investigation of NTB Regional Police Kombes I Gusti Putu Gede Ekawana in the study was conducted to find out his actions against the law.
"We want to know what the motive and mode are. Later we will see what the construction of the problem is", Ekawana said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 30.
Therefore, his party is waiting for an official report from Bank NTB Syariah. Clarification with related parties is included in the review agenda.
"What is clear is that there is regional money. It can be corruption, it can be embezzlement in office. We'll see", he said.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the NTB Attorney General's Office, Dedi Irawan said that his party had recently received a complaint report from the public.
"So we will first review the report. From the contents, it is about embezzlement of funds", said Dedi.
The indications mentioned in the initial report will serve as the direction for the prosecution to conduct an in-depth review.
"Does it enter into the realm of corruption or banking? In the realm of corruption, it remains with us. But for banking, it is the authority of the OJK and the police," he said.
Bank NTB Syariah previously confirmed an indication of cash funds deviation of IDR 10 billion. The mode is allegedly by withdrawing funds through several accounts and ATMs.
There were allegations of abuse of authority by one of the employees with the supervisory position with the initials PS. This problem also surfaced on the surface of the media after PS moved his position last January.
Bank NTB Syariah also submits a report to the NTB OJK Representative. However, with this problem, the Director of Bank NTB Syariah Kukuh Rahardjo assured that the theft of the IDR 10 billion cash fund did not cause a loss to his customers.
