Searching The House Of Mendes PDTT Abdul Halim Iskandar, KPK Finds Cash

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the homes of the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Mendes PDTT) Abdul Halim Iskandar on Friday, September 6.This forced effort is related to allegations of corruption in the management of grant funds for community groups from the 2019-2022 East Java Provincial Budget."“KPK investigators have conducted a search of one of the state administrators' official residences with the initials AHI in the South Jakarta area," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 10.Tessa did not specify the initials of AHI. However, information circulated that the figure was Abdul Halim Iskandar, who was the brother of the General Chair of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.As for the search, evidence was found related to the allegations being investigated. Among them are cash.From the search, investigators confiscated cash and electronic evidence, ” said a spokesman with the investigator's background without specifying the amount.In this case, Abdul Halim was examined on Thursday, August 22. He was questioned about the grant funds which ended up having problems.Previously reported, the KPK has named 21 new suspects in the alleged bribery of grant funds for community groups or pokmas from the East Java Provincial Budget for the 2019-2022 Fiscal Year. This effort is the development of the case that ensnared the former Deputy Chairperson of the East Java DPRD, Sahat Tua P. Simanjuntak.
Investigators in this case have searched the office of the East Java Provincial Government (Jatim) some time ago. As a result, documents and electronic goods have been confiscated regarding the alleged bribery case of grant funds.
