Mayor Of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi: Vaccines Do Not Sick, Sick Is When We Pay Attention And Then Abandoned
JAKARTA - There are many ways to persuade residents to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Regional heads usually come directly to meet residents, including traders, to socialize the importance of the COVID-19 vaccine in the midst of a pandemic.
This is also what the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi did. He went to the traders and shop employees at Genteng Market. The Surabaya City Government is targeting 1,000 people to be vaccinated.
Eri Cahyadi also posted this vaccine issue on his Instagram account @ericahyadi_. Socialization of the COVID-19 vaccine does not need to be 'insistent' but can be conveyed in everyday language to make it hit.
"I asked several traders and shop employees who were vaccinated today. They say vaccines don't sick. Those who are sick are given attention and then abandoned. The sick reaches the bones”, said Eri jokingly in his upload.
Eri Cahyadi said that in the midst of a pandemic, the people's economy must continue to grow. Therefore, market traders and MSME players must immediately be vaccinated so that economic activity can run without worrying about creating new clusters.
Apart from the economic sector, the education sector is also a priority. The Surabaya City Government has received 200 thousand vaccines which will also be used for teachers and lecturers because soon there will be an admission of new students.
513 traders at Genteng Baru Market got their turn for the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, March 29. They include shop owners, employees, and freelancers.
"After the first stage of the vaccine, ghosting is not allowed, OK? We have to come back again for the second vaccine”, said Eri Cahyadi.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Surabaya City Health Service, Febria Rachmanita, said the Surabaya City Government is targeting vaccinations for 20 thousand traders to be completed by April 2021.
"Today, a total of around 1000 traders will be vaccinated. So those who are not yet vaccinated will be vaccinated tomorrow", said Feny, Monday, March 29.
In addition to Genteng Market, she confirmed that there are about 30 Krempyeng markets that are also vaccinated simultaneously. Meanwhile, specifically for markets that are under the auspices of PD Surya Market, vaccination registration can be done through PD Surya Market. "The vaccine used for market traders is the AstraZeneca vaccine, and we have prepared a second vaccine as well", said Feny.
Vaccination to these traders is carried out in the market because traders have objections if they have to leave their shop for a long time.
However, if there is no place for vaccination in a market, the traders are directed to the nearest market where the vaccine is located.
"So it is put together, and friends at the health center must have carried out monitoring before vaccinating", she said.
