Josh Makazo Introduces Belong To You Ahead Of The First Concert In Singapore
JAKARTA - Singaporean musician Josh Makazo introduced his latest single titled "Belong To You" via No Saints Allowed. This release came before he held his first concert in his home country which will soon be held on October 18.
Despite the lyrics about pain and betrayal, the unique 'Belong To You' features passionate and catchy melodies. The arrangement is the surface layer of Josh's latest work, which shows heartache and confusion.
"Beelong To You took inspiration from my love experience with someone who is not loyal. The lyrics of this song discussed about it but were deliberately wrapped with uplifting melodies and upbeat tempo as a metaphor for the happy fas'ad I've shown so far," Josh Makazo said in a written broadcast.
Josh's music is full of honesty and summarizes the complexity of human emotions, all packed with pop genre music formats. The song 'Belong To You' is proof of its ability to combine various emotions with the pop music room that can amaze all listeners with catchy but reflective melodies.
One of the feelings I kept for a long time in myself was a sense of confusion, but then it disappeared after I accepted this reality. I then slowly got out of the 'world' that I and my partner used to have, and I realized that everything was destroyed when I made peace with reality," said the 21-year-old artist.
"This feeling of acceptance is very important for me until I want to reveal it in a song. I want my music listeners to feel the reflective moment I feel. The complexity of the solo saxophone game at the end above many other elements represents a sense of hystery of the feelings I have," Josh continued.
Josh has announced his first solo concert titled BEFORE I SEA: Josh Makazo's First Headline Show which will be held on October 18 at Esplanade Annexe Studio in Singapore.
A week before his first solo concert, Josh is scheduled to release his new EP, BEFORE I SEE, which will be footage of his 2nd album, ULTRAVIOLET. Josh will bring his single-single hit with a fresh arrangement, ranging from half of my heart to eclipse as well as songs on his first album GRADIENT and songs on EP BEFORE I SEE.
In addition, Josh is scheduled to appear in Indonesia for the first time, precisely at the 2024 AXEAN Festival which will be held on October 28 and 29 at the Jimbaran Hub, Bali. He will share the stage with many other Southeast Asian musicians, including from Indonesia, such as The Jansen, The Panturas, Navicula, the early morning dialogue, Grrrl Gang, and many more.
