FPI's Footsteps Behind The Suspected Condet And Bekasi Terrorists

JAKARTA - Densus 88 Anti-terror has arrested four suspected terrorists in the Condet area, East Jakarta and Sukasari Village, Bekasi Regency. From the arrests, active bombs and several items related to the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) were found.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said the four suspected terrorists were HH, ZA, BS, and AJ. Later, all evidence found from the four suspected terrorists will be investigated by Densus 88 Anti-terror investigators.

"All the evidence obtained at the TKP will certainly be preliminary findings which will be investigated by the investigators of the National Police Densus 88 Anti-terrorism," said Fadil to reporters, Monday, March 29.

The evidence for the FPI shirt is green with a white blend. Meanwhile, FPI membership cards are dominated by black.

Not only that, there are several books that read FPI. There is even a poster showing Rizieq Shihab's face

Meanwhile, regarding bomb evidence, Fadil said that at least 5 active bombs and 3.5 kilograms of raw materials for making bombs were found from the two arrest locations. In fact, from this raw material, 70 pipe bombs could be made.

"From the findings of the explosives (explosives) and the available raw materials according to the team's calculation, the TATP (Triacetone triperoxide) from 5 jar bombs weighing 3.5 kilograms is estimated to be able to make about 70 pipe bombs," said Inspector General Fadil Imran.

According to Fadil, the raw material for making bombs was very easy to explode. Therefore, the bomb squad (Jibom) decided to destroy it by detonating it in a safe place.

"TATP is a chemical compound that is explosive and is classified as a very sensitive high explosive. TATP is a peroxide compound which has a characteristic that is very flammable only with heat friction and other triggers," said Inspector General Fadil.

"Therefore, the Jibom team from the Gegana PMJ unit decided to carry out disposal in the two locations where the TATP was found," he continued.

On the other hand, Fadil also explained the role of each of the terrorist suspects. The mastermind of the terror action plan is the suspected terrorist with the initials HH.

"He planned, organized tactical and technical arrangements with ZA. Then attended several meetings to prepare for these amaliah activities. Financed and sent a video about the technicality of manufacture to 3 other suspects," said Inspector General Fadil.

Meanwhile, other terrorist suspects have a different role. For the initials ZA played the role of buying explosive raw materials.

"Saduara ZA's role is to buy raw materials and explosives such as acetone, HCL, thermometer, and aluminum powder, informing BS on how to manufacture and how to mix the prepared liquids," he said.

For other terrorist suspects, namely, BS (previously written as DS) played a role in knowing the manufacture of explosives (explosives) and participating in making together with suspected terrorist AJ.

"The role of (AJ) is to know and assist ZA during the manufacture of explosives, and together with BS, to attend meetings in the context of preparing for terror using explosives," he said.

With a series of links between the four people with acts of terrorism, they are presumed under Article 15 in conjunction with Article 7 and or Article 9 of Law number 5 of 2018 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism with a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison.

However, it is not certain whether there is a connection or network of this terrorist group with the suicide bombing in front of the Cathedral Church. Until now, Densus 88 Anti-terror investigators are still investigating it.
