Positive Cases Decrease, Gresik COVID-19 Field Hospital Is Temporarily Closed

GRESIK - The COVID-19 Field Hospital (RS) in Gelora Joko Samudro (Gejos), Gresik Regency, East Java is temporarily closed. The closure was carried out because no patient was being treated as the decline in data confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"This afternoon with the Regent of Gresik to review Gejos. Alhamdulillah since Wednesday, March 24, 2021 yesterday, no COVID-19 patients at the Field Hospital were treated or were empty. After we conducted discussions and analyzes, we conclude that starting today is temporarily closed," said the Head of the Health Office. Gresik, drg Saifudin Ghozali quoted Antara, Monday, March 29.

Ghozali said, Field Hospital could be opened at any time if needed and there was a surge in COVID-19 patients in Gresik.

For health workers, said Ghozali, now they have been returned to each Puskesmas. Meanwhile, the Field Hospital is only guarded by security officers from the Satpol PP.

"Meanwhile, we put the health and non-health workers at the Puskesmas, and the Gejos Field Hospital is only guarded by security officers from the Satpol PP," said Ghozali.

He hopes that the trend of COVID-19 data in Gresik will continue to slope and be controlled, so that there will be no more cases of additional confirmed positive data.

Meanwhile, the data on the recovery of COVID-19 patients in Gresik Regency in the last week was higher than the data that was confirmed positive.

There were seven additional positive cases, while eight people were confirmed for completion or recovered.

The total number of positive confirmed cases since the COVID-19 pandemic hit Gresik Regency reached 5,367 people, and recovered 4,951 people, and 65 people who are still isolated / cared for, and 351 people died.
