Revenge For Being Expelled, Youth Kills Boarding House Owner In Medan

Triggered by heartache because he was expelled, a young man from Paluh Manis Village, Gebang District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, was desperate to kill the owner of a boarding house in Medan Deli, Medan City, Thursday, September 5.

The perpetrator of the murder, Riza Fahlevi (23), has been arrested by the Belawan Harbor Resort Police (Polres).

"The perpetrator was arrested in the area of Medan Labuhan District," said Belawan Port Police Chief AKBP Janton Silaban in his statement Friday, September 6.

He explained that the disclosure of this case began with the suspicion of the family against the victim's body.

"The victim's body had previously been buried, but because the family asked for a re-autopsy. Therefore, we did an exhumation," he explained.

After the autopsy was carried out, continued Janton, the results were stated that there were bruises all over the victim's body.

"Armed from that, we conducted an investigation and finally got a bright spot that the culprit was Rizi Fahlevi. Then the person concerned was arrested," he explained.

The results of the examination, said Janton, the perpetrator killed because he was hurt by being kicked out of the victim's boarding house.

"Initially, the owner of the boarding house ordered to clean the boarding house, but he (Riza Fahlevi) refused because he was tired from work. Because the request was not complied with, the victim threw the clothes away to expel the person concerned. From there, the perpetrator had a grudge," he said.

As a result of his actions, said Janton, the perpetrator was charged with Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code with a threat of 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
