PWI Chairman Hendry Ch Bangun Encourages Improvement Of PWI Governance Through GRC Certification Cooperation
JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Central Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI), Hendry Ch Bangun, emphasized the importance of improving PWI governance through Government, Risk, Compliance (GRC) certification. This was conveyed by Hendry when signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Bataro Persada Indonesia at the PWI Secretariat, Kebon Sirih, Central Jkaarta, Wednesday, September 4.
"I want this MoU to be a momentum for PWI to improve better organizational governance. I hope that PWI at the provincial level will participate in disseminating this GRC certification program as part of the needs of modern management," said Hendry.
He also hopes that this MoU can support the regeneration process for PWI candidates in the regions and the center. "With GRC certification, PWI candidates are expected to have better leadership capabilities," he added.
Chairman of the Risk and Compliance Governance Certification Institute, Jerry Mermen, assessed that this MoU is important to ensure professional certification in the fields of governance, risks, and compliance. "This certification process must be supported by good training, and cooperation with PWI is an important part of that," explained Jerry.

Jerry also expressed his appreciation to PWI for this partnership. "We hope that this MoU can improve competence in organizational governance," he said.
President Director of PT Bataro Persada Indonesia, Yusuf Surbaki, added that his company has collaborated with various private companies and SOEs in GRC certification training. "We hope that PWI can help socialize the importance of risk governance and compliance throughout Indonesia, because this is an important element in organizational management," he concluded.
