Get Ready! Next Year KESDM Wants To Offer 5 WK Panas Bumi
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) plans to offer 5 geothermal working areas by 2025 for the Preliminary and Exploration Survey (PSPE).
Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), Eniya Listiani Dewi, detailed that the 5 WKs include Gn Lawu with a potential of approximately 195 MW, WK Sipoholo Ria-Ria with a potential of 35 MW and Cubanak - Panti with a potential of approximately 30 MW and 2 Tender for the Geothermal Working Area (WKP), one in Telaga Ranu of 85 MW and Wapsalit of 46 MW.
"We hope that the 5 geothermal locations can attract investors to develop them," said Eniya, Wednesday, September 4.
Furthermore, Eniya said, geothermal energy sources have enormous potential and have offered their development to investors.
It is known that Indonesia has the potential for abundant geothermal energy sources to reach 23.6 GW with 2.6 GW or only 11 percent of the total.

"So that its availability for use is still very open. We have offered it to various parties and now some have been developed. We still offer some to investors who are interested in developing geothermal in Indonesia," said Eniya.
Eniya said, several renewable energy sources in Indonesia whose potential availability is sufficient, even some are abundant, such as 3,294 GW diesel, 155 GW wind, 95 GW of water, 63 GW of sea current, 57 GW of BBN and 23 GW of geothermal.
