Jokowi Administration's One Million Houses Programme Reaches 59.23 Percent
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) reported that the achievement of the program of a million houses by the end of July 2024 had reached 59.23 percent.
It is known that the government through the Ministry of PUPR continues to support the acceleration of livable houses for all Indonesian people with the One Million Houses Program (PSR).
"In 2024, prognosis of 1,042,738 has been determined and until the end of July PSR achievement of 617,622 units (59.23 percent) of the total national target," explained PUPR on its official Instagram account @kemenpupr, Tuesday, September 3.
This figure includes development for low-income people (MBR) of 484.119 units and non-MBR 133.503 units throughout Indonesia.
"Hopefully the construction of this PSR can run smoothly and on target. Happy National Housing Day SahabatPUPR!" he added.
The President and Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka has a program that will be implemented in the upcoming government, namely building 3 million houses.
Related to this, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono believes that the budget allocation to realize the program will be greater than the 1 million houses in the current government of Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"There has been no discussion yet, in the past Pak Jokowi, we could achieve more than 1 million houses. If there is a program of 3 million houses, yes, I think it is good, but it has not been discussed," Basuki told reporters at the PUPR Ministry office, Jakarta, quoted Thursday, March 14.
