Google Launches Body Temperature Measurer To Pixel Thermometer App In Europe

JAKARTA Google launched a body temperature measuring device in the Pixel Thermometer application earlier this year. For several months, this feature is only available in the US, but now its features will be extended to European territory.

On Fitbit's support page, Google mentions several new countries that can access body temperature features. The countries are Austria, Belgium, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, and Latvia.

This feature can also be accessed in Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and much more. Language support has also been added. Now, the Pixel Thermometer can be used in Czech, Dutch, Finnish, French, Italian, and Swedish.

Google explains that this body temperature feature is only available on the Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. To get the feature, all these devices must, "run version 14 of Android and version of UQ1A firmware.231205.015.A1 or higher."

If it is available, the temperature of the object that appears on the screen will be combined with a body temperature so that users can find out how much their body temperature is. To use this new feature, users only need to bring the phone closer to the forehead for four seconds.

After that, move the device to the right or left temple. In the Temperature Guide section, users will be asked to enter the age range, but this request can be removed through settings. By eliminating age range questions, the temperature measurement process will run faster.

The measured temperature can be stored and re-checked on the Recent Results page. In addition to being stored on a special page, body temperature data can also be shared with Fitbits by opening the Fitbit application and accessing the FAB menu connected to the Pixel Thermometer.
