Pope Francis Arrives Tuesday, 270 Joint Personnel Standby At Soetta Airport
TANGERANG - A total of 270 TNI/Polri and Aviation Security (Avsec) personnel at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten, will be deployed to secure VVIP in welcoming the arrival of World Catholic Church Leader Pope Francis to Indonesia on September 3-6, 2024.
Senior Manager of Branch Communication & Legal Soekarno-Hatta Airport, M. Holik Muardi said that hundreds of security officers were specially prepared to ensure the comfort and security of honorary guests of Pope Francis who would arrive in Indonesia through the VIP Building Terminal 3 of Soetta Airport.
"Soekarno-Hatta Airport is fully ready to fully support the smooth visit of YM Pope Francis. The entire team has worked hard to ensure that this visit runs smoothly, safely, and complies with the highest standards we set. We are committed to providing the best service during this visit," he said.
Holik said, of the hundreds of security personnel consisting of Aviation Security, BKO TNI, Polri, Paspampres, and other security officers will collaborate to ensure all aspects of security, both on land and air, runs smoothly and in accordance with established protocols.
In addition, he continued, as readiness to welcome state guests, a number of welcoming locations have improved the quality of their services to meet international standards.
One of them, such as a parking stand area specifically prepared for state aircraft, has also been confirmed to be safe, with the best technical and infrastructure support.
"Soekarno-Hatta Airport also ensures that all facilities and services used during this visit function optimally. From the preparation of arrival routes, security procedures, to VIP services, all have gone through strict inspections and trials to ensure the smooth running of this state event," he said.
Angkasa Pura II (Persero), as the main manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, has taken steps so that this state visit does not interfere with the daily operating rate.
"All preparations have been adjusted to maintain a balance between welcoming the state and serving public passengers," he said.
The leader of the world Catholic Church, Pope Francis, will travel avertholic to Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, and Singapore, on September 2-13, 2024.
Indonesia became the first country in a series of visits by Pope Francis to the Asia Pacific region, namely from 3 to 6 September 2024.
