KPK Alleges Procurement Of Goods And Services At Semarang City Government Regulated Through Certain Parties
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate allegations of corruption in the Semarang City Government (Pemkot). One of them is the alleged existence of certain parties that regulate the procurement of goods and services.
"The point of which is that the suspects are people who have been appointed by state officials who are already suspects to arrange inside," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters quoted on Monday, September 2.
Tessa did not want to specify the party in question. "This mode is still being investigated by investigators," he said.
As for this case, investigators from the anti-corruption commission once examined the Chairman of the Semarang City Construction Implementation Association (Gapensi), Martono on Friday, August 2. At that time he was questioned about the arrangement of rations which allegedly led to direct appointments in the procurement process.
Meanwhile, Martono after being questioned by the anti-corruption commission at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta did not want to talk much. He said, investigators should give an explanation.
"Just ask the investigators," he told reporters at the location.
Previously reported, the KPK began investigating three alleged corruption crimes within the Semarang City Government (Pemkot). The details are the procurement of goods and services within the Semarang City Government in 2023-2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants related to incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area, as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities in 2023-2024.

Searches have been carried out in various locations such as in the cities of Semarang, Kudus, Salatiga, and others. From there, documents up to Rp1 billion and 9,650 euros were found as well as dozens of watches allegedly related to the case.
In this case, four people have been prevented from leaving the country for six months. They are Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu or Mbak Ita who is the Mayor of Semarang, Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java DPRD who is also the husband of Mbak Ita, Alwin Basri; Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gapensi) Semarang City, Martono; and Rahmat Djangkar who is a private party.
