Work Accident, Man In Tambora Dies After Being Shocked By Electricity

JAKARTA - A man named Taufik was electrocuted while working on Jalan Gedong Panjang 1, Pekojan Village, Tambora, West Jakarta, Saturday, August 31, at 15.00 WIB. It is suspected that the victim died in a work accident.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indardi said that apart from Taufik, it turned out that there was another victim named Suprapto. Now being treated.

"The victim taufik was declared dead. Suprapto's victim is still being treated," said Ade Ary in his statement, Sunday, August 31.

Ade Ary explained that the incident began when the victim and her co-worker Purnomo and several other witnesses wanted to move the telkom pole. The goal is to pair udit or cor LETer U at that location.

At the time of the incident, said Ade Ary, Suprapto tried to shift the pole by pushing it. Meanwhile, Taufik pulled the pole in a hug.

"Suddenly the pole above had an electric cable, resulting in an electric shock which resulted in Suprapto and Taufik being unconscious," he said.

After that, both of them were taken to the hospital for further action. But unfortunately, Taufik's life could not be saved, while Suprapto was still being treated.

"Taufik was declared dead," he said.

Until when the police were still investigating the case. The goal is to find out if there was an element of negligence or podana action until the victim finally died.
