16 Regions In The Republic Of Indonesia Expected To Be Thick Cloudy

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts cloudy to thick cloudy weather conditions to occur in sixteen parts of Indonesia.

BMKG forecaster Maria Klaudiana said, as monitored through the BMKG YouTube channel in Jakarta, Saturday morning, that the areas that have the potential to be cloudy to thick clouds are Banda Aceh, Aceh; Pekanbaru, Riau; Jambi City, Jambi Province; Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung Islands; Palembang, South Sumatra; Lampung; Jakarta; Bandung, West Java; and Semarang, Central Java.

"Next is DI Yogyakarta; Surabaya, East Java; Pontianak, West Kalimantan; Gorontalo; Manado City, North Sulawesi; Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi; and Makassar, South Sulawesi," he said, quoting Antara.

In addition to cloudy weather, BMKG also predicts that as many as 10 areas have the potential to experience light rain. The ten areas include Padang City, West Sumatra; Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands; Bengkulu City, Bengkulu; Serang, Banten; and Samarinda, East Kalimantan.

Next are Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan; Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan; Palu, Central Sulawesi; Ternate, North Maluku; and Ambon, Maluku.

Furthermore, he also said that there are four areas that have the potential to rain with moderate intensity, namely Mamuju, West Sulawesi; Jayapura, Papua; Jayawijaya, Papua Mountains; and Merauke, Papua.

"Then, heavy rains are predicted to flush the city of Medan, North Sumatra," he added.

Next there are also predictions about areas that have the potential to rain that can be accompanied by lightning or lightning, namely Sorong, West Papua; Manokwari, West Papua; and Nabire, Papua.
