The Ministry Of Transportation Ensures That There Will Be No Changes In Jabodetabek KRL Tariffs In The Near Future

The Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) has ensured that there will be no adjustments to the Jabodetabek electric train tariff (KRL) in the near future.

This was conveyed by the Director General of Railways Risal Wasal in a statement from Resmu, Thursday, August 29.

"In this case, the scheme for determining the Jabodetabek KRL tariff based on the NIK (Population Identification Number) will not be implemented immediately," said Risal.

For information, this plan is part of DJKA's efforts to adjust the Jabodetabek KRL tariff with more targeted subsidies.

Risal said to ensure that this tariff scheme is really right on target, currently DJKA is still in discussions with related parties.

"Later on, this scheme will be implemented in stages, and socialization will be carried out to the public before it is established," he explained.

Risal also said that DJKA will open public discussions with academics and community representatives to ensure that the tariff scheme that will be implemented does not burden Jabodetabek KRL service users.

"This public discussion will be carried out after the payment scheme is completed and is part of socialization to the public," he said.
