Maju Di Pilkada Jakarta, Istana: Pramono Anung Leave Dari Seskab Presiden

JAKARTA - Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi said Pramono Anung was not required to resign from his current position as Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) after registering as a candidate for governor in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

According to Hasan, whether or not Pramono Anung as Cabinet Secretary was a personal choice.

"Regarding whether or not it is Pak Pramono's choice. Because it is not required to resign," Hasan said in a written message, Wednesday, August 28.

Hasan explained that Pramono simply applied for leave during the Jakarta gubernatorial election campaign period.

"Just take time off during the campaign period," Hasan added.

PDI-P General Treasurer Olly Dondokambey revealed Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Rano Karno will register as candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta at the local KPU on Wednesday at 11.00 WIB.

Olly explained that his party would not make an announcement of Pram-Rano as a candidate pair for PDIP in the Jakarta Pilkada.

The South Jakarta District Court has also issued several certificates for Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung to run in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

"That it is true that the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, has issued several certificates," said South Jakarta District Court Public Relations Officer (PN) Djuyamto to reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Djuyamto said there were three letters issued on Pramono Anung's request for the nomination requirements for the Governor of DKI Jakarta. Namely, the certificate has never been as a defendant and the certificate is not being revoked on the voter list.

"Then, the certificate does not have debt responsibilities on behalf of the person or the legal entity that is his responsibility," he said.
