The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Calls PT Jembatan Nusantara Acquisitioned By ASDP Turns Out To Be An Unhealthy Company
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the acquisition carried out by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) is actually common to develop business. However, this state-owned company is suspected of buying PT Jembatan Nusantara, which is in unhealthy condition.
"The company acquired (by ASDP, ed), a company that at that time did not have a good health ratio. So an unhealthy, unprofitable company," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters quoted on Wednesday, August 28.
In addition, the ship from the acquired private company was also damaged. "So of course we are focusing on digging up information on why they did that," he said.
"Do they (ASDP, ed) not know that the ships purchased are no longer feasible," continued Asep.
Furthermore, Asep also mentioned that investigators who handle allegations of corruption in the business cooperation process (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry will investigate the most responsible parties. Anyone who knows will certainly be summoned, the Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir is no exception if deemed necessary.
"In the future, we will find out who is responsible for this. If there is an order from anyone, we will make a summons," said Asep.
Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating the corruption case of business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero).
