Update On COVID-19 As Of March 27: New Cases Of 4,461, Healed 4,243 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. The total cumulative cases totaled 1,492,002 people since the first case was announced. Meanwhile, new cases per day reached 4,461 people.

While cases recovered today increased by 4,243 people, so that a total of 1,327,121 people recovered. Meanwhile, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 198 people and a total of 40,364 people.

There are also provinces with the most new cases of COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta with 1,354 new cases and a total of 378,222. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Furthermore, West Java 476 new cases with a total of 167,176 cases. East Java 275 new cases and the total cumulative cases reached 138,449, South Kalimantan 267 new cases with a total of 62,929 cases. Then, Banten 220 new cases with a total of 36,083 cases.

It was also reported that four provinces reported additional new cases under 10, namely West Sulawesi 1 case, Bengkulu 5 cases, North Maluku 7 cases, and Gorontalo 8 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,182 recovered cases. DKI Jakarta followed with an additional 651 cases. Then, followed by East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) with 415 recovered cases, East Java with 303 cases, and East Kalimantan with 302 cases.

"The highest number of fatalities was in West Java with 102 people, East Java with 19 people and DKI Jakarta with 18 people," data quoted from the Ministry of Health, Saturday, March 27.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined per day is 67,548. Meanwhile, cumulatively reached 12,469,345. As for the details, 11,861,422 were examined by RT-PCR, 162,068 using the TMC method and antigen 445,855 people.

"For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it is recorded at 54,980 people," he said.

Then, the weekly people's positivity rate from March 21 to 27, 2021 is 11.52 percent. Meanwhile, the daily person's positivity rate is 9.27 percent.

Currently, the number of people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination has increased by 209,813 and the total has reached 7,179,014 people, and the second dose of vaccination is 85,109, a cumulative total of 3,233,810. Meanwhile, the target target for vaccination is 40,349,051 people.
