Three Candidates For The North Kalimantan Gubernatorial Election Will Register With The Kaltara KPU
The General Election Commission (KPU) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) is preparing to open registration for the candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of North Kalimantan in 2024. Registration for prospective pairs begins on 27 August.
Chairman of the Kaltara KPU Hariadi Hamid said the registration of prospective pairs of candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of Kaltara would be carried out for three days or from 27 to 29 August 2024.
"On the 27-28 August ladder, registration will start at 08.00 WITA until 16.00 WITA. Meanwhile, on the last day, August 29, 2024, registration will start at 08.00 WITA and the registration closure will be at 23.59 WITA, with registration locations at the Kaltara KPU Building on Sengkawit Jalan Tanjung Selor," Hariadi said, Monday, August 26.
Hariadi explained that his party had received a letter from two candidates for governor and deputy governor of Kaltara who would register. Namely, the couple Zainal Arifin Paliwang-Inkong Ala, and the prospective candidate pair Yansen Tipa Padan-Suratno.
"Two candidate pairs, namely Zainal Arifin Paliwang - Ingkong Ala, Yansen Tipa Padan-Suratno will register at the Kaltara KPU on the same day, namely Thursday, August 29, 2024," he said.
"Only the time is different, Zainal Arifin Paliwang at 11.00 WITA. Then, the Yansen Tipa Padan - Suratno pair first at around 09.00 WITA. There is a difference of 2 hours," he continued.
The KPU has also just received information from the prospective candidate pair Sulaiman - Adri Patton to register at the Kaltara KPU on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 15.00 WITA.
"This information was conveyed to the Kaltara KPU by telephone and a short message from WhatsApp, at this time we are still waiting for an official letter to follow," he explained.
Based on PKPU 8 of 2024, both pairs of candidates and all leaders of supporting political parties are required to attend when registering.
"If it is not present, there is a process or communication that has been determined by the KPU," he said.
