Emergency Response Status For Two Weeks Set In Ternate
The City Government of Ternate, North Maluku (Malut) has declared an emergency response status for flash floods in Rua Village, Ternate Island District, Ternate City for the next two weeks.
"In addition, we have also established an emergency response post for flash floods in Rua Village and expressed our deep sorrow for the disaster experienced by residents," said Ternate City Regional Secretary Rizal Marsaoly, as quoted by Antara in Ternate, Sunday.
He said the Ternate City Government had evacuated the victims of the flash flood and would continue to focus on evacuating.
In addition, his party will check with certainty the names of the victims so that the data does not interfere and through one door at the emergency response post.
"As for the refugees of this flash flood, we will place them in the Shipping School of Kastela Village and other victims whose families have been with them for a while," he said.
He stated that the Ternate City Government had prepared refugee posts for the victims, one of which was at SD, Rua Village, to facilitate the evacuation and coordination process in the field.
The Ternate City Government will also prepare all needs at the evacuation posts for refugees, be it clean water, food and others.

Meanwhile, from the data received, a total of 13 people died had been found and another victim was found before the disbursement process was temporarily suspended.
Meanwhile, data pocketed by the emergency response post team formed by the Ternate City Government showed that 11 people died.
From observations in the field, the Joint SAR Team is currently continuing to evacuate and search for victims of the flash flood disaster in Rua Village.
The flood carried large mud, stone, and wood material that hit residential areas.
At the location, four excavators were deployed to clean up the material that blocked the main road access at the location in the pouring rain.
