Prabowo Cancels Presenting Congress In Bali, PKB: The Important Thing Is In His Heart
NUSA Dua - President-elect 2024 Prabowo Subianto canceled attending the 6th National Awakening Party (PKB) Congress in Bali on Saturday and Sunday, August 24-25.
In fact, the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party had previously confirmed his presence at the PKB Congress. PKB Deputy Chairperson Jazilul Fawaid said Prabowo had an urgent agenda that could not be abandoned.
"The PKB Congress committee understands Pak Prabowo's determination without compromising respect, of course we always pray that Pak Prabowo will be given the opportunity to continue to devote his thoughts and accept the mandate of the people as well as possible," said Jazilul at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Sunday, August 25.
Meanwhile, Prabowo previously attended the Golkar Party National Conference (Munas) and the PAN Congress which was held in Jakarta a few days ago. However, PKB did not make it a problem.
"The important thing is that PKB is in Pak Prabowo's heart and the Prabowo Pam is being watched by PKB is more important than attendance," said Jazilul.
PKB, continued Jazilul, still confirms its intention to join the Prabowo-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government in the 2024-2029 period. Also, submitting the proposed state development idea to the new government.
"We are very sure that from all the processes in PKB, PKB is committed to the success of Pak Prabowo's government," he said.
It is known, the congress is the PKB's highest decision-making forum which has now resulted in the decision to acclamation of Cak Imin as the general chairman for the 2024-2019 period or his fourth period since 2005.
The congress was held for two days. On Saturday, August 24, the congress was also attended by guests including Indonesian Vice President Ma Ruf Amin, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto, as well as several representatives of other political parties.
The congress on the first day was also attended by a number of Nahdlatul Ulama figures such as Nurul Huda Jazuli, Said Aqil Siroj, Munif Zuhri, Subhan Makmun, Imam Jazuli, Marzuki Mustamar, Kafabihi Mahrus, Chaidar Muhaiminan, Ahmad Badawi Basyir, Fahmi Matori Abdul Jalil and several other figures.
