New The Suicide Squad Poster Revealed, Trailer Released Today

JAKARTA - Director James Gunn shared the first poster of The Suicide Squad on Twitter on Thursday, March 25, United States time. This paper-folded poster features four of DC's flagship supervillains.

The Suicide Squad is a continuation of the 2016 film Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer.

The film will feature Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, John Cena as Peacemaker, Idris Elba as Bloodsport, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

The Suicide Squad tells of Belle Reve, a prison in the United States with the highest number of deaths. They will work together to get out by doing a number of missions.

Apart from the four supervillains above, there are Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, and Javelin.

As well as a sequel, a spin-off series focused on the Peacemaker character is planned to air on HBO Max starting January 2022.

The Suicide Squad trailer is out today and the film will hit theaters and HBO Max starting August 6, 2021.
