Police Ensure Suspicious Items In Front Of Ahmad Yani's House Was Fake Bomb, Perpetrators Hunted Down

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters killed a suspicious item found in front of the house of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (KAMI), Ahmad Yani, was a fake bomb. So, the next step will be to hunt down the perpetrators behind the fake bomb.

"After researching by the Gegana team, it can be ascertained that the object is a fake bomb", said Head of Public Information Bureau, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, to reporters, Friday, March 26.

In investigating the perpetrators behind the fake bomb case, said Rusdi, the investigation team from the Metro Jaya Regional Police had already departed. A series of examining witnesses and looking for evidence has been carried out.

"And of course the Metro Jaya Regional Police is still investigating, looking for parties who have committed their actions which of course have caused anxiety in the community", said Rusdi.

Previously, a suspected bomb was found around the residence of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (KAMI) declarator Ahmad Yani. The Gegana team intervened to examine the suspicious object.

"Yes, that's right, members of Gegana are checking", East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Erwin told reporters, Friday, March 26.

It is not yet certain that the suspicious objects were found in the Cipinang area, East Jakarta. Although from the photos circulating, this suspicious object looks like a bomb.
