FIFA Matchday Agenda So PSSI Moment Brings New Naturalized Players
JAKARTA - The FIFA Matchday moment in September 2024 will be used by PSSI to bring in new naturalized players for the Indonesian national team. This was revealed by PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) Member Arya Sinulingga.
"Is it in this (naturalization) process? Yes, really. However, as usual we will not tell you, there will be no complaints."
"Anyway, there is. We are preparing the documents (new players) again," said Arya Sinulingga from his personal Youtube channel, quoted on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
Regarding the possibility of new naturalized players coming in the FIFA Matchday time span, this was revealed by Arya Sinulingga because it was considered the right moment because the league was closed during the international break.
"The problem is in this process. It can't just be processed now. They (players who will be naturalized) must first go to Indonesia through the process, administration, and so on," he said.
"Immporting them to Indonesia on September 5, 2024, they can only come because there is a FIFA Matchday. It could be the 3rd, 4, 5, 6, or 7th September. We'll see who attends. That can only be processed," said Arya.

Despite explaining the possibility of bringing in a new naturalized player, Arya did not reveal whose name and from which country the player came from.
According to him, the announcement of the naturalization player will only be issued after the document in question has entered the process stage to the relevant parties.
"After that, it will be processed at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, to the President, and the DPR. Friends must understand, our current DPR will be completed on September 30, 2024."
"(The new DPR season) was inaugurated on October 1, 2024. We have to understand this, it's not that simple because there was a process earlier. Around 3, 4, 5, 6, or September 7, 2024 we will try to make sure someone is present."
"So, we will fight again, we must also know the dates. We hope for the support of the DPR Commission III and Commission X and the leadership of the DPR so that the process can immediately return to the President."
"So, the situation must be understood, not just chasing, so you have to know the process," he said.
Previously, there were several names of potential naturalized players who were widely mentioned. Players of Indonesian descent Mees Hilgers and Ole Romeny are two names who are reportedly close to the Indonesian national team.
Mees Hilgers has reportedly been targeted by PSSI for a long time. Meanwhile, Ole Romeny admitted that he had been contacted by PSSI representatives to take care of the naturalization process.
