Social Minister Risma Brings Good News! Social Assistance Remains Distributed Even Though The Idul Fitri Homecoming Is Held
JAKARTA - The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) stated that the distribution of social assistance will continue to be carried out even though the Idulfitri 1442 Hijriah / 2021 homecoming holiday is eliminated.
"The provision of social assistance will be distributed according to time, and the provision of special assistance to Jabodetabek as last year will be determined later," said Coordinating Minister for PMK Muhadjir Effendy in Jakarta as quoted from Antara, Friday, March 26.
On the same occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini or Risma emphasized that social assistance during Eid al-Fitr is still distributed. The aid will be delivered around the beginning of May 2021.
"For the month of May, along with the month of Eid, we will submit it at the beginning of May," said Risma.
While special assistance for the Greater Jakarta area and its surroundings, Risma estimates that it will be disbursed at the end of week 1 or the beginning of week 2 in May.
Previously, the Coordinating Ministry for PMK eliminated the Idulfitri homecoming holiday during May 6-17, 2021, due to the high number of infections and deaths, both for the public and health workers due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The homecoming prohibition applies to all state civil servants (ASN), TNI soldiers, members of the National Police, BUMN employees, private employees and independent workers and also the entire community, so that vaccination efforts can produce the maximum possible health conditions.
Muhadjir appealed to the public before after the stipulated time to carry out movement of activities outside the region, except in urgent and necessary situations.
