Harvey Moeis-Helena Lim Enters Trial Stage, Dozens Of Suspects Of Tin Corruption Wait For His Turn

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has named 23 suspects in the alleged corruption case in the management of tin commodity trading in the mining business permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk 2015 to 2022. Some of them have already entered the trial stage.

The Head of the Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar, said that several suspects who had entered the trial stage, such as Harvey Moeis and Helena Lim.

"There are 8 who have gone to court," said Harli to VOI, Tuesday, August 20.

It was made clear that those who had entered the trial stage were Toni Tamsil alias Akhi who was the defendant of Obstruction of Justice. He was tried at the Pangkalpinang District Court.

Then, Suranto Wibowo as Head of the 2015-2019 Bangka Belitung ESDM Service; Rusbani as Acting Head of the 2019 Bangka Belitung ESDM Service; and Amir Syahbana who is the Acting Head of the Bangka Belitung ESDM Service.

Furthermore, Harvey Moeis, whose inaugural trial was held on August 14, yesterday. Helena Lim will undergo a trial reading the indictment on August 21.

There is also the President Director (Managing Director) of PT RBT, Suparta and Director of Business Development of PT RBT, Reza Andriansyah who will soon be tried.

"Those (Reza and Suparta) have been transferred to the Corruption Court but there has been no determination of the trial," he said.

That way, there are 15 other suspects who have not yet entered the trial stage of the alleged tin corruption case.

Of the dozens of people, most of them have been transferred to the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office in the context of compiling prosecution files.

"5 suspects are still being investigated and 10 more are being prosecuted," said Harli.

For information, in this tin corruption case, it is said that it caused state losses of Rp. 300 trillion.
