Heru Budi Says Free Food Budget Per Portion In Jakarta Is More Than IDR 15 Thousand: Maybe IDR 20-25 Thousand
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has started a trial of a free nutritious food program for hundreds of students at SDN Cideng 07, Central Jakarta. The free meal provided today is IDR 15 thousand per serving.
Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono estimates that when the official free meal program is implemented, the budget will increase to more than IDR 15 thousand.
"Maybe later I will evaluate it again, 15 thousand is just a menu. In DKI it's just 15 thousand menus. Maybe there are other additions for cooking, delivery, boxes. Plus minus maybe IDR 20,000, IDR 22 thousand, IDR 23 thousand, or IDR 25 thousand, we'll see," said Heru at SDN Cideng 07, Monday, August 19.
At SDN Cideng 07, free meals are served in a brown cardboard box. The menu consists of white rice, several pieces of flour fried chicken, white mustard greens, small banana fruit, and glassy mineral water.
Heru wants additional menus or side dishes to be served during the next free meal trial. This also causes the price per serving to increase.
"Yes, it needs to be improved again. Later I will try one more menu. Earlier, apart from fish, chickens, there were vegetables. Later we will add eggs. We will see the variations," explained Heru.
On that occasion, Heru said that he would again conduct free trials of eating in a number of other schools in the coming days. Later, the budget allocation will be taken from corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds for regional-owned enterprises (BUMD).
"Tomorrow, in two days we will arrange BUMD in DKI to take turns. The first is Dharma Jaya, the second is PAM. We will see the menu, next week when the menu is right, the price is right, only next week we will simultaneously," he explained.
The head of the Presidential Secretariat also plans to invite Prabowo and Gibran as the President-Vice President-elect 2024 to review the implementation of the distribution of free meals in Jakarta.
"Later, when it's perfect, I'll try to take him around. Of course, we'll fix it later," he said.
