Ridwan Kamil-Suswono Declaration Forward For Jakarta Gubernatorial Election This Afternoon, But How Come It Hasn't Bagged A Recommendation Letter Yet?
JAKARTA - Golkar Party cadre Ridwan Kamil and senior PKS politician Suswono will be declared governor and deputy governor candidates in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada this afternoon.
The Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair is supported by 12 Political Parties. Namely Gerindra, PAN, Golkar Democrat, PKS, PKB, PPP, NasDem, PSI, Perindo, Garuda and Gelora.
However, even though it will be declared, it turns out that the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair has not yet obtained a recommendation decree (SK) signed by 12 Ketum political parties.
Information related to the absence of recommendations from the Head of supporting political parties calling themselves the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus was revealed by the Secretary General of Democrats, Teuku Riefky Harsya.
Riefky said the declaration would be made by 12 Secretary-General of Political Parties together with the DPD-DPD at 16.00 WIB at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta.
"So what we got was that today we were invited to have lunch with Mr. RK, with the party secretary generals. Now, after that, preparations will be made for a declaration at 16.00. So later during this lunch, there may be developments that will be conveyed," said Riefky at the Sultan Hotel, Monday, August 19.
Nevertheless, Riefky said that the political party leaders were not present at the RK-Suswono declaration. The Ketums, he said, would gather when giving recommendations to Paslon a few days after this afternoon's declaration.
This is different from the other Cakadas who immediately received a recommendation letter for the 2024 Pilkada ahead along with the declaration of support.
"This is what the secretary generals of the party invite, and later at 16.00 with the chairmen of the DPD and the administrators of their respective party DPDs for DKI. So that's it. If I think later the party leaders will give recommendations, maybe in the next few days," said Riefky.
