4 Issues Will Be A Highlight In Jokowi's Speech Regarding The 2025 RAPBN
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will deliver a state speech and the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN) at the DPR plenary session, Friday 16 August 2024.
On several occasions, Jokowi wants the 2025 RAPBN to support all of Prabowo Subianto's elected presidential programs. At a limited meeting related to the government's work plans, financial notes, and the 2025 RAPBN which was held last Monday, for example, Jokowi highlighted four things to formulation in the 2025 RAPBN.
"First, I want in the 2025 State Budget Draft plan to accommodate all the elected presidential programs," he said.
Second, Jokowi also asked the government to be aware of the dynamics of the global economy, including rising interest rates and heating up the Russia-Ukraine war and conditions in the Middle East.
"But most importantly, be aware of the risks of the world's economic slowdown, both related to interest rate policies, as well as those related to geopolitical heating, which will likely have an impact on the food crisis, rising oil prices," he explained.
The third thing that Jokowi is in the spotlight is state revenue. He asked the 2025 RAPBN to also focus on optimizing steps to increase the target of state revenue.

Fourth, Jokowi encourages the RAPBN to focus on solving crucial problems. "Finally, it would be nice if in the 2025 RAPBN we focus on everything being done," he concluded.
