Slipknot Bassist Wears New Mask For 25th Anniversary Tour Concert
JAKARTA - Slipknot Bassist Alessandro Venturella alias V-Man showed off the new mask he wore in Slipknot's first show for 25th Anniversary Tour.
The mask is the fruit of Hedi Xandt, a visual artist, writer, and speaker from Hamburg, Germany.
Through an Instagram upload, V-Man explained that he directly asked Xandt to make a new mask.
I'm a big fan of his work and feel it's time to ask him to make me a work of art for Slipknot. Amazing! wrote Alessandro Venturella through an Instagram post caption.
Meanwhile, Hedi Xandt explained that the mask design took inspiration from the bassist's face with an Italian expressionmaker.
"The design refers to the previous incarnation of the V-Man face and refers to an expressionist Italian statue that was damaged and turned into a mask with rough force," Xandt wrote.
This 'Slashed' performance is one of three different designs. It's been an incredible pleasure to do this, and much more to be shown to you! Thank you to Alessandro Venturella and the trust she put in me and my job."
For information, Slipknot performed in 18 shows in North America for 25th Anniversary Tour.
The band from Iowa, United States has started its tour of Noblesville on August 6, and will end in Des Moines on September 21.
