Megawati Gives Suspension Recommendations For 13 Cagub-Cawagub, Edy Rahmayadi To Danny Pomanto-Azhar

PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri officially submitted a decision letter (SK) on the recommendation of nomination to prospective governors and deputy governors in 13 provinces.

Some of them are former Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi to re-run in the North Sumatra Pilkada, to former Mayors of Makassar Ramadhan (Danny) Pomanto and Azhar Arsyad in the South Sulawesi Pilkada.

The names of the candidates for governor and deputy governor who were given the suspension decree were read out by the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto. In addition, there are also 292 candidates for regent-deputy regent and mayor-deputy mayor who were given a decree.

"The total number of candidates for regional heads and candidates for deputy regional heads that have been decided by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri and announced today comes from 305 regions. The provincial level is 13 provinces," said Hasto at the PDIP DPP office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, August 14.

After reading, representatives of regional head candidates who were promoted received direct decrees from Megawati.

It is known that the submission of recommendations to 305 regional head candidates from PDIP was announced in the first batch of three waves that will be carried out by the PDIP DPP in the ahead of the 2024 Pilkada registration.
