JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) released a new policy regarding the change in the time limit for BRI's threat account.

For information, the bangmant account is an account that customers never use for transactions within a certain period of time.

BRI Corporate Secretary Agustya Hendy Bernadi revealed that BRI imposed changes to the days to dormant provisions to 180 days without seeing customer balances.

"This means that customers who do not make transactions, including credit and debit, apart from the savings admin fees and cards for 180 days, will change their account status to dormant," he said in a statement to the media, Tuesday, August 13.

Agustya said, customers whose account status has changed to a domestic account can still re-activation the account by coming to the nearest BRI work unit and bringing their identity and proof of account ownership.

The list of savings products that will change their time to dormant to 180 days is as follows: 1. BRI Simpedes2 Savings. BRI Simpedes Savings Bisa3. BRI Simpedes Usaha Savings4. BRI BritAMA General Savings5. BRI BritAMA Bisnis Savings6. BRI BritAMA Priority Savings7. BRI BritAMa Mitra Savings8. BRI BritAMA DHE9. BRI Junio Savings

In addition, specifically for BRI BritAma General Savings products, Business BritAma, Priority BritAma, Partner BritAma, DHE BritAma, and Junio which are dormant status and under certain minimum balance provisions if there are no transactions for 180 days, the account will be closed automatically (closed by system).

This provision is effective starting August 15, 2024.
