Touched To See The State Palace Of IKN, Erick And Basuki: The First Time We Came Here Our Car Fell!

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said he was proud to see the state palace in the National Capital (IKN), East Kalimantan, successfully built by the Indonesian people themselves.

"Proud and touched to see the State Palace in the capital city of the archipelago which was built by the nation itself. God willing, with good intentions, we will make IKN a world-class capital," Erick wrote as quoted from Instagram @erickthohir, Monday, August 12.

In the video uploaded by Erick on Instagram @erickthohir, he can be seen approaching the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono who is looking at the condition of the state palace.

Erick and Basuki also recalled their first experience visiting the IKN area. They said the car they were traveling in had slumped because of the rain that made the roads there slippery.

"We first came here the car was slumping," said Erick.

"The car is slumping, it's raining. Now it's like this," said Basuki.

Still accompanied by Basuko, Erick was moved to see finally the state palace managed to stand in IKN, East Kalimantan.

"Alhamudlillah, Mr. Bas," said Erick.

Basuki again replied to Erick's words. He also quoted President Joko Widodo (Jokowo) as saying that IKN was built with good intentions.

"This is what the president said, we are building IKN only with good intentions," said Basuki.

For your information, today an inaugural plenary cabinet session has been held at IKN, East Kalimantan. This cabinet meeting was chaired by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and attended by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

The plenary cabinet session was also attended by all ministers in the Indonesia Maju working cabinet. Also present were BIN Head Budi Gunawan, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.
