Jokowi Reveals Investments That Have Entered IKN Rp56.2 Trillion

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the incoming investment for the development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) was IDR 56.2 trillion, outside the budget of the state budget (APBN).

"As of today, I also need to say that outside the budget from the state budget, the incoming investment is already IDR 56.2 trillion," said Jokowi at the inaugural plenary cabinet meeting in the capital city of Nusantara, East Kalimantan, Monday, August 12.

Jokowi explained that there were 55 investors who had groundbreaking or laying the first stone, namely from the education sector there were 6 investors, from the health sector there were 3 investors, retailers and logistics there were 10 investors.

From the hotel there are eight investors who have laid the first stone, in the energy and transportation sector there are 2 investors, offices and banks, there are 14 investors, residential areas and green areas, there are 9 investors, as well as media and technology, there are 3 investors.

"The economy that will be developed in the capital city of Nusantara is also a green economy, a digital economy that will accompany the government in the capital city of Nusantara. Once again, the economy is green, the digital economy, the data center, financial centers, and others," said Jokowi.

After the cabinet meeting, President Jokowi is scheduled to participate in laying the first stone for infrastructure projects in the Central Government Core Area, the capital city of Nusantara, East Kalimantan.

President Jokowi is scheduled to lay the first stone for the construction of banking offices and hotels from private companies, while Vice President Ma'ruf Amin laid the first stone for the construction of the Vice President's Palace.

Expert Staff to the Minister of PUPR for Technology, Industry and Environment as well as Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra S. Atmawidjaja said the location of the Vice Presidential Palace area is in East Sumbu, KIPP IKN.

Meanwhile, the laying of the first stone for the seventh phase of the investor project at IKN will be attended by four domestic private investors, namely BCA, Swiss-Belhotel, Royal Golden Eagle, and Intiland.
