As Many As 11 Deputys Of The Golkar Party All Have Opportunity To Become Plt Ketum

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Legal and Human Rights Division of the Golkar Party DPP Adies Kadir stated that all 11 deputy chairmen (waketum) of the party have the opportunity to become acting (plt.) general chairman (ketum).

In the Golkar Party's Articles of Association/Household Budget (AD/ART), Adies explained that there are no rules that require certain deputy chairmen to automatically serve as general chairman.

"All deputy chairmen have the opportunity to run as executors of the task. However, it all depends on the decision of the plenary meeting," said Adies during a press conference at the Golkar Party DPP Office, Jakarta, Sunday night.

During the press conference, a number of central Golkar Party officials made statements, which were not followed by a question and answer session. They are the Head of the Media and Opinion Raising Division of the Golkar Party DPP Meutya Hafid, Golkar Party Deputy Chairman Adies Kadir, Golkar Party Deputy Chairman Ahmad Doli Kurnia, and Golkar Party DPP chairman Ace Hasan Syadzily.

Ahmad Doli Kurnia in the press conference session continued the 11 deputy chairmen who were later discussed in a plenary meeting by the Golkar Party DPP administrators until they finally agreed on one name as the executor of the general chairman's duties.

Later, plt. The general chairman will carry out the duties of the general chairman until the national deliberation (munas) or extraordinary national deliberation (munaslub) is held to agree on a new chairman.

The eleven deputy chairmen of the Golkar Party, namely Adies Kadir, Bambang Soesatyo, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, Firman Soebagyo, Agus Gumiwang, Dito Ariotedjo, Nurdin Halid, Nurul Arifin, Kahar Muzakir, Melchias Marcus Mekeng, and Roem Kono.
