Puan Maharani To Young Hipmi Cadres: Alhamdulillah, We Begin To See Bright Spots At The End Of The Road

SURABAYA - Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament, Puan Maharani, hopes that members of the East Java (East Java) Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Jatim) and the center will continue to innovate and never give up so that they become part of the great forces driving the national economic recovery.

"Hipmi needs to be part of the solution to Indonesia's economic progress," said the Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament Puan Maharani in a virtual speech at the opening of the East Java Hipmi Musda XIV in Surabaya as reported by Antara, Wednesday, March 24.

According to him, Hipmi youth cadres are the face of the future of the Indonesian economy who hold the key to Indonesia's progress. In addition, the Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament advised that Hipmi cadres be prepared to face the economic conditions after a year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Alhamdulillah, we are starting to see a bright spot at the end of the road. It is not yet too bright, but the warmth has been felt and has begun to generate optimism for Indonesia's future, including in the economic sector," said Puan Maharani.

This optimistic attitude, he said, was based on the predictions of several world institutions such as the World Bank and OECD which projected Indonesia's economic growth this year to be in the range of more than four percent.

"The Indonesian Manufacturing PMI is experiencing an increasing trend from month to month from September 2020 to the present," said the politician from the PDI Perjuangan.

Meanwhile, Puan Maharani also invited Hipmi members to take part in the success of the vaccination program which would strengthen an optimistic attitude to escape from the pandemic.

"This includes participating in mutual cooperation vaccinations. Of course through strong coordination with the Ministry of Health and other relevant ministries," said the daughter of former Indonesian President Megawati Soekarnoputri.

The Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament, Puan Maharani, also asked Hipmi members to build a calculated optimistic attitude so that they do not become complacent and careless because they have carried out vaccinations which it is feared will actually hinder the positive momentum.

"If the vaccination is considered to be like entering tooth 1, or even tooth 2, it remains to be seen how to quickly enter the next teeth," said Puan Maharani.

At the end of his speech, the Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament advised Hipmi to work together with the government to present a healthy and productive and inclusive business ecosystem, both during and after the pandemic.
