My Grandmother's Sadness In Denpasar, Bali, Is Sick Without Being Neglected, Until The Wound Is Gnawed By Maggots

DENPASAR - Grandmother in Bali with the initials GSI (69) is sick with wounds on her body. Maggots were found in the wound.

Now GSI's grandmother is being treated at Wangaya Hospital, Denpasar City. Grandma's condition is still weak.

"His awareness is still decreasing, his general condition is still weak," said Head of the District General Hospital (RSUD) Wangaya Denpasar City, Bali, AA Ngurah Suastika to reporters, Wednesday, March 24.

Suastika made sure that the maggots in the wound on the body of GSI's grandmother had been cleaned. GSI's grandmother was brought to Wangaya Hospital in the early hours of the morning.

"The wounds on the buttocks and calves until there were maggots were all cleaned, the maggots were cleaned and the wounds were treated," he said.

"Now the patient is being treated in the inpatient room at Wangaya Hospital. His consciousness is still decreasing, it was only last night (he was treated)," continued Suastika.

According to Suastika, maggots appeared on the body of GSI's grandmother because of wounds on her buttocks and right calf. This wound has been left for a long time until maggots appear.

"What is clear, the wound may not be maintained properly. When he was at home, maybe the wound was not maintained so that he ended up with a pouch, "said Suastika.

Previously, GSI's grandmother was taken to the West Denpasar Community Health Center from her residence on Jalan Kartini. This grandmother is in an unkempt condition.
