Zaiful Bukhori Superior In The East Lampung Pilkada Survey, Followed By Ella Siti Nuryamah

The Indonesian Election Study Institute (LKPI) released the results of a survey related to the electability of regent candidates in the East Lampung Pilkada. As a result, Zaiful Bokhari's name occupies the top position as a candidate for Regent of East Lampung.

LKPI Executive Director, Togu Lubis said based on the survey results in the simulation test of the top of mind choice of 8 names, Zaiful Bokhari with 31.9 percent. Followed by Ella Siti Nuryamah 19.3 percent, Dawan Rahardjo 12.8 percent, Azwar Hadi 7.3 percent, Wahyudi 7.1 percent, Noverisman Subing 4.1 percent, Ahmad Giri Akbar 2.9 percent, Garinza Reza Pahlevi 2.3 percent, and other names under 2 percent.

"Then in the simulation of the two candidates who will advance in the East Lampung Pilkada between Zaiful Bokhari and Ella Nuryamah, the survey shows that 59.4 percent of voters voted for Zaiful Bokhari. While 23.2 chose Ella Siti Nuryamah and 17.4 percent are still secret," said Togu in his statement, Saturday, August 10.

The survey also tested two other candidates who will advance in the East Lampung Pilkada, namely Dawam Rahardjo and Ella Nuryamah. As a result, 29.9 percent chose Dawam Rahardjo, 22.2 percent chose Ella Siti Nuryamah, and 47.9 percent were still secret.

Togu also assessed that the 2024 Pilkada would be colored by the phenomenon of the emergence of single candidates. According to him, the candidate will fight the empty box on election day and can occur in the East Lampung Pilkada. Togu said, during the head-to-head simulation test between Ella Siti Nuryamah versus the empty box in the 2024 regional elections, the results showed that respondents who chose ballot cards with empty box images as much as 70.3 percent. Meanwhile, those who chose Ella Siti Nuryamah were only 20.6 percent and did not choose 9.1 percent. "And if later a single candidate fights an empty box in the East Lampung regional election, then it does not immediately win. Single candidates must be able to celebrate 50 percent of the +1 vote to be winners. Therefore it is very interesting to test the preferences of the people of East Lampung Regency in the 2024 Pilkada," explained Togu.

Meanwhile, in terms of the popularity of the prospective regent of East Lampung, Zaiful Bokhari's name was known by 89.9 percent of respondents, Dawam Rahardjo 78.8 percent, Azwar Hadi 75.3 percent, Ella Siti Nuryamah 52.3 percent, and other names under 50 percent. The LKPI survey was conducted in the period 1-8 August 2024 involving 1,564 respondents through face-to-face interviews in the form of a quasioner. The survey population is Indonesian citizens in East Lampung Regency who are 17 years old and over or married who are spread 24 sub-districts and 240 villages in East Lampung. The survey has a Margin of error of 2.48 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
