Holds Congress In Jakarta, IKA ITS Ready To Increase Contribution To The State
JAKARTA - The Alumni Association of the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (IKA ITS) held the 2024 Congress IX at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, Saturday, August 10. In addition to discussing the outline of the Policy and Organizational Policy (Gabaka), the congress agenda was to elect the general chairman of the IKA ITS Central Executive and the IKA ITS Senate for the period 2024-2028.
Chairman of the IKA Central Executive Board (PP) IKA Irs Sutopo Kristanto ensured that all preparations for the smooth running of the congress had been made. He hopes that whatever is produced in this congress is the best decision. Not only for IKA ITS, but also for Indonesia.
"So on this occasion, we would like to thank the steering committee and organizing committees who are trying their best. That way the congress can run well, starting from the preparation stage," he explained.
The IKA ITS 2024 Congress received the appreciation of a number of ministers, namely Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas, and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.
They hope that the IKA ITS Congress can produce various innovative ideas and create collaborations, namely collaboration with strong actions so that it can have a positive impact on society, nation and state.
ITS alumni are also expected to play a more role in technology. This is in order to encourage the progress of Indonesia's development in the future. Tri Rismaharini, Minister of Social Affairs as well as alumnus ITS who opened the event, in his remarks hoped that the results of the congress could strengthen the collaboration between ITS alumni and the government, especially through technology support.
According to Risma, the development of technology is appropriate to prove to have encouraged the improvement and equitable distribution of social welfare for the community. This can be seen from the collaboration (collaboration and action) of the Ministry of Social Affairs with ITS and ITS alumni.
One of the collaborations is to initiate the construction of Earthquake-Resistant Houses in East Aceh.
"The earthquake-resistant house was designed from ITS. I changed it a little (design), I (background) the architect," said Risma.
According to Risma, there are still many things that ITS alumni can do to contribute to the community. Therefore, he has high hopes for the spirit of collaboration to be developed by IKA ITS.
Vice Chancellor of ITS for Planning, Finance, and Infrastructure, Dr. Machsus hopes that the IKA ITS congress will be able to produce smart thoughts. It was through this thought that ITS, ITS alumni, and in the end Indonesia were pushed forward and superior. This is in line with the target of the ITS State University of the Legal Entity as (PTN BH), to pursue the ranking of 500 major world campuses. "I want to emphasize that the rating is not only seen from the progress of public universities. But also from the work of alumni in various sectors of life," said Machsus.
Meanwhile, IKA IKA Senate Chair Ir Ridwan Hisjam said that holding the congress was a form of the solidarity of alumni who always supported the IKA ITS central board. Over the next four years, he hopes that the general chairman and members of the new senate will focus on making the best program so that they can bring more ITS alumni into the policy maker structure.
"But that is not our goal, the important thing is that it can be beneficial for the nation and state," said Ridwan.
