The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Has Not Planned To Summon Bobby Nasution Regarding Medan Blocks
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said there were no plans to summon Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution.
This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika in response to Bobby's statement that he was ready to follow the legal process after his name was dragged into the 'Blok Medan' at the trial of former North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba. Investigators and prosecutors have not submitted any information.
"Until now there has been no information regarding the plan to summon BN's brother at the prosecution and investigation level," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Friday, August 9.
Summarized from a number of reports, Bobby stated that he was ready to be summoned by the KPK. President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) son-in-law said he was ready to follow the procedures for handling alleged corruption.
"I'll just follow, yes, I'll just follow the point," he said to reporters in Medan.
Abdul Gani Kasuba is currently a defendant in a bribery case. He is currently undergoing trial at the Ternate District Court (PN).

As previously reported, the Head of the North Maluku ESDM Office, Suryanto Andili, revealed the term 'Medan Block' in the trial of the defendant Abdul Gani Kasuba. This name is often used in the Mining Business Permit (IUP) process in North Maluku.
At that time, Suryanto explained that the Medan Block referred to the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution after being asked by the prosecutor. Meanwhile, on different occasions, Abdul Gani actually said that the term refers to Kahiyang as Jokowi's son who is also the wife of Bobby.
