Jusuf Hamka Shifts Course, from Fighting in Jakarta Gubernatorial Election to West Java Gubernatorial Election
JAKARTA - Politician and businessman Jusuf Hamka has changed course from being originally a candidate for governor or deputy governor of Jakarta to become a candidate in West Java.
He was included in one of the candidates for cawagub companions to the candidate for governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, obtained by Jusuf Hamka after meeting with the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto at the Widya Chandra complex, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 8.
"Yes, Kang Emil (Ridwan Kamil) is already in Jakarta (Prospective Governor). If Kang Emil is already in Jakarta, I'll be the way to West Java, that's all," said Jusuf Hamka as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 8.
The man who is familiarly called Babah Alun admitted that he was not the only one who was promoted as a candidate for deputy governor of West Java. Several other names appeared, such as Ridwan Kamil's wife, Atalia Praratya, and Ade Ginanjar.
Regarding the decision to move this fighting place, Babah Alun admitted that he was ready to carry out the party's mandate.
He also admitted that he would seriously build West Java infrastructure as he had previously done.
"So far, I have built roads in West Java, yes, in Depok, Depok-Antasari, Bogor Ring Road, Pasir Koja, then Cileunyi, Sumedang, Dawuan. So I think the people of West Java have also seen my progress," said the man who is also known as the Father of this Toll Road.
