Physical Defected Baby Found In Empty Toilet In Cakung Area

JAKARTA - Residents of the East Flood Canal (KBT) area of Cakung District, East Jakarta, were shocked by the discovery of a baby girl who was dumped by irresponsible people in an empty toilet, Thursday, August 8. When found, the baby was alive but had physical disabilities. The innocent baby's body was wrapped in a blanket and kept crying hysterically. Residents who found it, then reported to the East Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept. (TRC Sudinsos) Rapid Response Team. Officers who arrived at the location immediately carried out an evacuation. According to the East Jakarta TRC Team Commander, Kurniawan Muhammad said, the baby was estimated to be two days old. "The baby is approximately one to two days old and was found wrapped in a blanket continuously in her lips," he said when confirmed, Thursday, August 8. Furthermore, Kurniawan said, when it was first discovered, the baby's face condition appeared full of red spots. "After being directed to the nearest midwife and an examination was carried out, his condition was still not good, so the Cakung District Health Center came to the location and immediately contacted us to be referred to Duren Sawit Hospital (RS)," he said. Kurniawan said, the baby girl is still undergoing intensive treatment at Duren Sawit Hospital. "The baby condition is not healthy, because it has been quite a long time in the dirty bathroom, but the police have informed it already to the scene," he said. Until now the case is handled by the Cakung Police. The Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit has also visited the scene for the investigation process.
