The Body Of A New Zealand Pilot Who Was Killed By KKB Arrived At Soetta Airport

TANGERANG - The body of a pilot of PT Intan Angkasa Glen Malcolm Conning, who was the victim of the murder by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) on Monday (5/8) in Mimika, Central Papua, arrived at Cargo, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten.

The body of pilot Glen Malcolm Conning departed from Mimika using the Garuda Indonesia flight GA 657 on the Jakarta route which landed at around 15.58 WIB.

The murder victim, allegedly committed by an armed criminal group, is planned to be sent to his home country of New Zealand, on Thursday (8/7).

Before being returned to his country, the body of pilot Glen Malcolm Conning was first performed a service or prayer delivered by relatives and colleagues from the company.

Previously, the TNI Task Force Team from the Alama District of Mimika Regency to Mimika Hospital on Tuesday at 12.45 WIT, had evacuated the bodies of the PT Intan Angkasa helicopter pilot.

Commander of the Joint Operations Command for the Defense Region (Kogabwilhan) III Lt. Gen. Richard TH Tampubolon said that the evacuation began at 10.00 WIT and arrived at Yohanis Kapiyau Timika Air Base at 12.45 WIT.

"The joint TNI forces managed to evacuate the body of PK IWN helicopter pilot owned by PT Intan Angkasa Air Service Glen Malcolm Conning from Alama District to Timika City," he said in Timika, Central Papua.

According to Richard, three helicopters have been flown to Alama District for evacuation, and have returned safely at Yohanis Kapiyau Timika Air Base at 12.45 WIT.
